Since 1985 thirty-four generations of people have worked hard to make this program what it is today. We are currently expanding and strengthening our program beyond radio to encompass multi media and information technology.
We are looking for people who can contribute to this expansion. If you have been looking to integrate media expression, new technology and have a sense of social & spiritual responsibility, then First Voice may be for you. If you come from an under-represented community, are adaptable, understanding, flexible, committed, have a positive outlook, and are willing to work in a diverse group setting, we encourage you to apply.
The program is intensive and demanding, with two night classes and one dayshift per week. The projected time commitment averages 20 hours a week. All those selected must agree to serve their respective communities and Pacifica, in exchange for skills development and access to resources.
